To provide coordinated crisis intervention and support services to residential Domestic Violence clients
Duties :
1. Responsible for intake assessment, development and implementation of a case plan based on identified need. 2. Provide information and emotional support to enhance client's coping skills in effectively negotiating for needed resources. 3. Responsible for appropriate system linkages and referrals to achieve client case plan. 4. Responsible for monitoring and tracking service utilization. 5. Responsible for evaluation of services and outcome measures. 6. Responsible for collection and maintenance of client records and service data. 7. Responsible for domestic violence on-call response. 8. Other duties as assigned by the Team Lead (to include, but not limited to) community engagement opportunities, internal support group, and activities with residential and transitional housing clients.
Accountability:
The Domestic Violence Crisis Advocate is responsible to the Program Team Lead and/or Director of Domestic Violence Victim Services, and the client population for the timely, professional and effective performance of all job duties.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of two years of experience working with the identified client population or one that is transferable. 2. Experience in working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. 3. Demonstrated sensitivity to issues of social justice. 4. Demonstrated ability to work in diverse teams. 5. Ability to expand communication style to multiple cultural environments. 6. Ability to speak a second language valued. 7. Ability to network with other professionals within and outside the Agency on behalf of the client population. 8. Willingness to utilize, share and/or develop technology skills. 9. Minimum of Associates in Social Work or a related field; or minimum two years of experience in social services or a related field. 10. Hourly Rate of Pay:
$20.51 Annualized Salary - $40,000
