QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
One (1) year case work or related experience
Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
Knowledge of criteria for food, rent, and utility assistance and the processes to enroll participants
Ability to use HMIS and Family Services software program
Ability to access at risk participants and situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and file management skills
Ability to work in a team setting
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time
Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
Ability to work flexible days and hours, including weekends
Must possess a valid Nevada driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record check
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct interviews, asses immediate and long-term needs, and develop case plans
Provide case management and needed services to low-income and/or at-risk individuals/families in compliance with program policies and procedures
Prepare and submit required reports to Family Services Ministries Coordinator in a timely manner
Maintain accurate program records of
EFSP, SHARE AND REACH
programs, as well as volunteers and vendors
Keep statistics as related to demographics, types of assistance given
Write accurate and concise case notes for each client
Ability to lead and teach classes relating to budgeting, banking and other basic life skills
Aid with seasonal events and drives as needed
Work in food pantry; assisting clients and stocking shelves, bagging food and other related duties
Maintain neat and organized work area
Networking with other agencies and organizations

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
