About This Role:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal skills for an Adult Recovery Court Case Manager. Prince William County Criminal Justice Services (CJS) coordinates all Specialty Dockets (Veteran's Treatment Docket, Adult Recovery Court and soon to be Behavioral Health Docket). This position provides case management services to justice-involved adults with substance use disorders. Conducts comprehensive assessments, identifies individual needs and barriers, and connects participants with appropriate county and community resources, and support services. Provides ongoing service navigation, coordination, and support to promote engagement in recovery and successful completion of court/program requirements, It is a fast-paced, growing, strength-based organization that promotes public safety. We strive to reduce victimization, promote recovery and sobriety, break the cycle of crime, and contribute to community restoration by incorporating the use of Evidence Based Practices to assist participants make positive changes in their lives.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of related experience.
Preferences:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Associate degree in Criminology, Psychology, Social Services, Counseling or a related field and 3 years of experience related to case management with individuals who are high risk or have high needs, have substance use disorders and/or other behavioral health needs. Experience in the coordination of services for clients in the community; case management, conducting risk assessments and making referral to address identified gaps in services or needs, working 1:1 and a team in the creation of integrated case plans associated follow up. Qualified candidates will have the ability to have focused participant interactions, conduct group facilitation, create and deliver presentations, work effectively with individuals involved in the Criminal Justice System; and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
Special Requirements:
Some overnight travel.
Work Schedule:
MONDAY - FRIDAY, 8 A.M. TO 5 P.M. WITH OCCASIONAL NIGHTS/WEEKENDS FOR PROGRAM PRESENTATIONS , MEETINGS AND TRAININGS. OCCASIONAL OVERNIGHT TRAVEL REQUIRED.
Starting Salary Range :
