PRIMARY FUNCTION
The coordinator works with both the program and membership team to connect Club programs and services to the greater Trenton community with an emphasis on Hispanic/Latino community. This includes recruiting staff, program registrations, and event participation.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities. Attends relevant community meetings; participate in relevant councils and committees. Schedule regular outreach exhibitions in the community Develop partnerships to assist in the implementation of programs and strategic plan initiatives Assist in the preparation of an annual budget for community outreach activities. Assist Director of Community Engagement and Membership and COO to nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners. Assist in the organization of special events, including donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives. Track and report performance of outreach department Additional duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
Maintains close contact with assigned staff to provide assistance in matters of programming and operations; interacts regularly with Chief Operating Officer, Development Staff, Finance, Membership, HR and as assigned with the Board and its Committees.
External:
Maintains contact with Parents, Community Partners, Schools, and others.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Minimum of five years' work experience in non-profit agency operations management and supervision, or an equivalent combination of experience and
education.
Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/REQUIREMENTS
Speaks and writes Spanish fluently
Strong organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel& PowerPoint)
Attention to Detail
Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations
Demonstrated success the recruitment, supervision, and retention of staff
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
