Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive Sunday School curriculum that aligns with Lutheran religious teachings, age-appropriate learning, and community values. Recruit, train, and manage volunteer teachers and support staff to ensure smooth program operations and effective youth engagement. Coordinate weekly Sunday classes, special events, holiday programs, and outreach activities that foster spiritual growth and community participation. Provide mentorship and spiritual guidance to children and youth, creating a safe environment where they feel valued, supported, and inspired. Collaborate with church leadership to plan religious events, community service projects, and mission work that involve youth participation. Oversee the safety protocols related to religious organization childcare activities, ensuring compliance with all regulations and adherance to our Child Protection Policy. Engage with parents and guardians through regular communication about program goals, student progress, and upcoming activities. Manage program budgets, fundraising efforts, and resource allocation to sustain vibrant youth programs. Promote youth engagement through social media, community outreach, and partnership initiatives within the broader faith community. Experience a plus Proven experience in religious education or youth ministry within a faith-based nonprofit organization. Strong background in teaching religious studies or leading youth programs with an emphasis on mentorship and spiritual development. Demonstrated ability to manage volunteers effectively while fostering teamwork and leadership skills. Experience working as a clergyperson or in pastoral theology is highly desirable. Knowledge of social work principles related to youth engagement, mentoring, and Christian counseling techniques. Skilled in event planning, program development, fundraising strategies, and community outreach efforts. Previous experience in religious organization childcare or youth engagement roles that emphasize safety protocols and nurturing environments.
