Expectation Church

Childrens Accessibility Director

Job Description

Let's cut to the chase. You want to impact the next generation—and so do we. You've probably been scrolling through job postings for a while, and let's be honest… they all start to sound the same. Vision statements. Bullet points. A list of qualifications that reads more like a wish list than a real person. But here's what you really need to know about us: We're Expectation Church , a non-denominational church in Fairfax, Virginia , just outside of D.C. Our vibe is relaxed (seriously, we don't think our lead pastor even owns a tie), but we're not relaxed when it comes to the Gospel . That stays front and center in everything we do. We are unapologetically focused on helping the next generation take their next step in experiencing faith in Christ. And when we say the next generation, we mean every kid . We believe children of all abilities should have the opportunity to belong, build relationships, participate, and experience faith in Christ. For some kids, that may mean having a Buddy alongside them on Sunday morning. For others, it may mean an adapted activity, a sensory-friendly space, or simply having someone who took the time to understand what helps them thrive. And for parents who have spent years wondering whether a place will truly be ready for their child, it means being able to walk into church knowing, "There is a place here for us." That's where you come in. We're looking for an eKids Accessibility Director who can champion those kids and families while building the teams and systems that make meaningful inclusion possible. Someone who can sit down with a parent and listen well, develop an individualized plan for a child, equip a volunteer to serve confidently, and work alongside our eKids and NextGen teams to make accessibility part of who we are, not simply another program we offer. Scroll down for all the details, but if you're already thinking about what this ministry could become, we'd love to hear from you. Let's build a church where every kid has a place to belong.
