ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for two full-time positions: Admissions Counselor in the Department of Admissions and Merit Awards. This position is responsible for implementing policies and procedures for the recruitment of prospective undergraduate students. The admissions counselor assists with front line customer service and performs community outreach activities both on- and off-campus that are designed to meet enrollment goals. Required :
Bachelors degree. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred :
Prior higher education experience in admissions, student recruitment, or student services. Knowledge and familiarity with CCU Duties include, but not limited to: Develop plan, and implement admissions/enrollment recruitment activities within assigned territory, which include attendance at college fairs, high school visits, workshop, panels, and other recruitment events. Enter recruitment trip, student inquiries, and evaluation information into CRM. Complete all travel paperwork in compliance with University and office policy. Reviews and make decisions on applications utilizing established criteria and guidelines. Provides on-going contact with assigned applicant pool to ensure file completion, acceptance, and enrollment. Build relationships and personalize the admissions process for students, parents, and school counselors. This should include, but is not limited to, individual communication and/or updates via note writing, email, text, and/or or phone call. Exhibit exemplary professionalism and provide excellent customer service as representative of the university. Conduct admissions presentations for campus visitors. Assist the admissions events staff with planning and executing recruitment and enrollment events. Attends and works events and conducts presentations as requested both afterhours and on weekends as well as on and off campus. Salary range:
$37,944.00 (minimum) to $49,266.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
