Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to families and children in need, ensuring their safety and well-being by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers from the community to work with cases of child abuse appointed by the Court. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work, volunteering, or related fields, with experience in child protective services, crisis management, and family law. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Duties Facilitate communication between families, social workers, and other relevant parties to ensure the best outcomes for children. Participate in service planning meetings to identify the needs of children and families, providing appropriate resources and referrals. Support volunteers in their direct work with children who are victim to abuse and neglect. Participate in conflict resolution efforts among families and service providers to promote positive relationships. Maintain accurate records of volunteers, trainings, court hearings, and meetings while ensuring confidentiality. Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to enhance support services for families. Provide training and support to volunteers regarding best practices in the CASA role. Experience A bachelors degree in a related field is preferred. Demonstrated experience in child protective services, volunteer management, or family law is desirable. Knowledge of supervisory techniques to better support volunteers is desirable. Familiarity with child welfare policies and procedures. Experience working with children in various settings including their home of origin. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
