Help students develop study habits and time management skills, and set academic goals Social and emotional support
Help students overcome social and behavioral challenges, and manage their emotions Referrals-Refer students to appropriate school resources, social agencies, community agencies, and alternative programs School counselors should have a master's degree in counseling, mental health or social work.
