This full-time, contract opportunity begins August 7 and extends through November 27, covering a maternity leave. You'll focus on an 8th grade caseload, providing vital social-emotional support and resources to help students reach their potential during a key year of their educational journey.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Valid license/certification as a school social worker Previous experience with middle school or adolescent populations in an educational setting Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral intervention, and crisis response Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation and reports Familiarity with IEP process and special education services preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling services tailored to 8th grade students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student needs Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies for emotional, behavioral, or social challenges Participate in multidisciplinary teams to contribute to educational plans and IEP meetings Serve as a liaison between school, families, and outside service providers Lead or support school-wide initiatives to foster positive school climate This assignment offers the chance to work alongside dedicated educators in a supportive, student-centered environment.
