9642574-49090 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting students in an engaging school environment as a Full Time School Social Worker. This contract opportunity involves working with K-5 students, with occasional middle school responsibilities, offering the chance to shape young lives while collaborating with a dynamic educational team. You'll partner with educators and families, assisting children with high behavioral needs and delivering small group therapy, in addition to consultative services.

Qualifications:

Active Michigan social work license required Michigan Department of Education school social work approval Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred Demonstrated expertise supporting students with high behavioral needs Skilled in developing and leading small group therapy sessions Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities Ability to build rapport with children, families, and staff

Responsibilities:

Provide direct social work services to students in K5, with some middle school caseload as needed Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs Deliver small group therapy and targeted behavioral support Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families for comprehensive student care Offer crisis intervention and support as necessary Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with school policy Consult with staff and parents, offering strategies and resources to promote positive behavior and address social/emotional barriers to learning This role offers full-time hours (35 hours per week) and the chance to help students thrive both emotionally and academically.
