In this role, you will: Provide individual and group social-emotional counseling to students. Assess student needs, developing actionable interventions and support plans. Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and community resources. Participate in IEP, student support, and multidisciplinary problem-solving meetings. Offer targeted support to students facing behavioral, social, emotional, attendance, or family-related challenges. Connect students and families with valuable community services and resources. Respond promptly and effectively to crises and student safety concerns. Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in alignment with best practices. Foster a positive, inclusive school climate promoting student and family engagement.
Your qualifications should include:
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred, or as required for the Minnesota Department of Education school social worker licensure. Valid Minnesota school social worker license. Experience supporting children and adolescents is highly valued. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional learning strategies. Dedication to equity, inclusion, and the well-being of all students.
