Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

The After-School Aide supports the care, supervision, and well-being of students participating in the school's after-school program. The aide helps create a safe, welcoming, and faith-centered environment consistent with the mission and values of the Catholic school.



Job Responsibilities Supervise students before, during, and after scheduled activities. Assist with homework, reading, crafts, games, and age-appropriate activities. Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment. Encourage respectful behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations. Support students with transitions, snack time, outdoor play, and dismissal. Communicate appropriately with teachers, staff, students, and parents/guardians. Assist with setting up, cleaning, and organizing activity areas. Support the school's Catholic identity by modeling kindness, respect, compassion, and service. Follow all school safety, supervision, and child-protection policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the program coordinator or school administration. Job Requirements Experience working with children preferred. Dependable, patient, responsible, and able to work well with children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students. Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school.
