Job Description

Temporary Position (approx 6 weeks) Overview Join our dedicated team as a Victim Advocate working where your compassion and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of victims of crime and their families. In this vital role, you will provide emotional support, guidance, and resources to help victims navigate the often complex aftermath of traumatic events. Your proactive approach and commitment to child welfare will ensure victims receive the assistance they need to begin healing and regain stability. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work in a dynamic environment committed to justice, safety, and community well-being. Duties Offer immediate crisis intervention and emotional support to victims and their families during shift hours Answer incoming crisis calls during your shift and on-call on a rotating basis. Document all interactions thoroughly in case files while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations Support victims through crisis management strategies, ensuring they feel empowered and informed throughout their recovery process Maintain the safe house in a state of readiness (Light cleaning duties) Requirements Proven experience in the social work field is highly desirable Strong background in crisis intervention, crisis management, and conflict resolution techniques Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations empathetically and professionally Computer skills for data entry Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases effectively Demonstrated skills in behavioral health support, social work principles, and domestic violence. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Valid TN Drivers License and good driving record Background check-Must have a clear background Pass a drug screening This role is perfect for compassionate professionals eager to make a tangible impact by supporting victims through challenging times.
