Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Family Manager to support a busy household with teenagers. This role focuses on household organization, scheduling, errands, and light administrative tasks to help the home run more smoothly. This is not a traditional housecleaning position, although light tidying and household reset tasks may occasionally be included.
Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Scheduling medical, dental, tutoring, testing, grooming, and other family appointments
Tracking upcoming appointments, deadlines, school requirements, and household needs
Coordinating tutoring, school admissions testing, and educational services
Running local errands, including pharmacy pickups, returns, grocery pickups, and donation drop-offs
Taking the family dog to grooming or veterinary appointments as needed
Maintaining family calendars, reminders, and household task lists
Organizing paperwork, forms, school materials, and medical information
Assisting with prescription refills and other routine administrative calls
Coordinating household service providers (cleaners, handymen, organizers, repair professionals) and making basic maintaince and repair
Completing light household resets, including putting items away, clearing surfaces, organizing common areas, and some cleanInd and laundry- this is the biggest part of this job
Sorting donations, returns, mail, and household supplies
Supporting simple food preparation
Identifying household needs before they become urgent
Providing regular updates on completed tasks and items requiring follow-up Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be:
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working independently
Proactive and able to anticipate next steps
Calm, respectful, and comfortable around teenagers
Able to maintain confidentiality and appropriate family boundaries
Comfortable making phone calls and coordinating with service providers
Comfortable using text messaging, shared calendars, email, and basic online scheduling tools
Flexible when family priorities shift
Nonjudgmental about household clutter or unfinished projects Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to lift and carry approximately 25 pounds
Basic computer and smartphone skills
Strong communication and time-management skills
Prior experience in household management, caregiving, administrative support, education, hospitality, or a related field is preferred Schedule This position generally requires 5-10 hours per week.
Hours may be divided across one or two weekdays, with some flexibility depending on appointments and household needs. A consistent weekly schedule is preferred, though occasional adjustments may be requested with advance notice. Compensation
$18 per hour
