Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral care to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges through evidence-based interventions. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical terminology and standardized tools such as ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy tailored to client needs. Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, substance use disorders, and Alzheimer's or geriatrics care. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change. Manage case documentation adhering to clinical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and medical records protocols within EMR/EHR systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate mental health interventions, crisis management strategies, and community care resources. Collect data for clinical research projects aimed at improving mental health outcomes and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring immediate safety and appropriate referral or hospitalization if required. Engage in continuous professional development by staying current with medical terminology updates, ICD coding changes, and advancements in psychopharmacology relevant to psychiatric patient care. Experience Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited institution; licensure as an LCSW-C or LCPC is required. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in clinical settings; experience with pediatric populations is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and addiction counseling. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is strongly desired. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and data collection purposes; knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding is advantageous. Experience providing mental health assessments, psychiatric patient care, crisis management, and case management services within hospital or community-based environments. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and adhering to HIPAA standards. Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and familiarity with medical social work practices enhances your ability to deliver holistic patient care.
