Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Therapist with licensure as an LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, or LCMHCA to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and mental health evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop individualized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques. Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage urgent cases with professionalism and sensitivity, ensuring client safety and well-being. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management efforts, and medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems. Engage in ongoing research and data collection to support evidence-based practice improvements and clinical research initiatives. Maintain accurate medical records, ensure confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines, and adhere to clinical ethical standards throughout all patient interactions. Requirements Active licensure as an LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, or LCMHCA with current certification to practice independently in the state of employment. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities; experience in pediatrics or geriatrics is a plus. Strong skills in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, trauma-focused therapy, and social work practices. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, treatment planning, and diagnostic evaluation processes. Experience working with co-occurring disorders such as mental health issues combined with substance use or medical conditions like chronic pain or autism spectrum disorder. Excellent communication skills for client engagement as well as collaboration with healthcare providers; proficiency in telehealth therapy platforms is preferred. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management skills; experience in inpatient or outpatient settings is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and clinical ethical guidelines; experience working within hospital or clinic environments is desirable.
