Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Therapist to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral care team. In this vital role, you will provide evidence-based mental health interventions, conduct comprehensive assessments, and deliver individual, group, and family counseling to diverse populations. Your expertise will support patients across various settings—including outpatient clinics, community programs, hospitals, and home environments—fostering positive outcomes and empowering clients to achieve their mental health goals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical terminology and adhering to HIPAA and medical documentation standards. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) as appropriate for each client's needs. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on mental health interventions for issues including PTSD, addiction, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change. Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention strategies while ensuring safety and stability for clients experiencing acute distress or psychiatric emergencies. Maintain accurate clinical documentation within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and medical records standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including medical social workers, psychiatrists, educators, and community resources—to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Collect data for clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives related to mental health outcomes or behavioral health services. Requirements Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics in clinical settings such as hospitals, community clinics, or home-based care environments. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluation (ICD-10/ICD-9 coding), psychiatric patient care, and psychopharmacology principles. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems with an understanding of clinical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), special education needs, or disabilities is highly desirable. Skills in crisis management, trauma-informed care—including PTSD care—and addiction counseling are essential. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds while maintaining cultural competence in treatment approaches. Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and social work practices is preferred. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and case management activities including intake assessments and patient communication. Join us if you're passionate about making a difference through compassionate mental health care! We value energetic professionals committed to evidence-based practice who thrive in collaborative environments dedicated to improving lives through innovative social work and therapeutic interventions.
