Ascent Therapy
- A clinical program of River Valley Youth Foundation Pottsville, AR area (travel to partner schools)
- Full-time
- $22/hour About the role A child gets an hour of therapy a week, then goes back to a home and a school that don't always know what we're working on.
The Ascent Guide changes that. You'll be the person who connects each child's treatment to their family and their school, so progress in the therapy room shows up at home and in class. Families and schools will know you as their Ascent Guide. You'll work alongside our therapists and QBHPs as part of a small care team: the therapist owns the treatment plan, the QBHP works directly with the kid, and the Guide works with the adults around the kid. What you'll do Lead family sessions tied to each client's treatment plan goals Attend 504/IEP, behavior, and parent-teacher meetings on behalf of clients Consult with teachers on specific students: triggers, what works, what to try Serve as the main point of contact for principals and counselors in your assigned schools Help families navigate school processes like evaluations and support plans Support our therapists and QBHPs with joint sessions, skill-building, and between-session behavioral support Take part in a weekly team huddle with your QBHPs and therapist to coordinate care Document every contact cleanly in our EHR (AscentOS) against each client's goals Help plan and run our summer youth programs when school is out Who you are Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP) with a bachelor's degree in a human services or related field Strong family engagement skills; calm and warm in tense meetings Good energy, easy to work with, and kind A professional, put-together presence that fits comfortably in a principal's office Organized and reliable with documentation Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (you'll travel between schools and homes)
Bonus:
a school background (former teacher, paraprofessional, or counselor) You'll be the face of Ascent in schools and with families, so warmth, reliability, and professional presence matter as much as clinical skill.
