Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals facing mental health challenges. This position involves working closely with patients to assist in their treatment plans, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The Clinical Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for implementing therapeutic interventions and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. Duties Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy and behavioral therapy techniques. Provide direct support to patients, including crisis intervention and management. Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Facilitate individual, family, and couples counseling. Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns to the clinical team. Engage in case management activities, including intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment strategies for patients with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities or PTSD. Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection to improve patient outcomes. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, ensuring adherence to medical terminology and documentation standards. Requirements Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT. Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate medical recordkeeping. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients of all ages. Understanding of crisis management techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Telehealth experience is beneficial as we adapt our services to meet evolving patient needs. Licensure and Supervision We welcome licensed counseling clinicians and recent graduates of qualifying master's programs who wish to pursue counseling licensure in Delaware. Applicants must hold an active Delaware counseling license appropriate to this role or obtain one before beginning clinical services. Clinical supervision for counselors working toward full licensure is offered, in accordance with Delaware licensing board requirements, within a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.
