Overview Join our dynamic mental health team as an Outpatient Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy to diverse populations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive outpatient setting, providing individual therapy sessions. You will utilize your expertise to assess patient needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions that foster healing and resilience. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using
ICD-9, ICD-10
coding standards, and clinical documentation protocols. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Provide individual sessions utilizing modalities like Equine Therapy , grief counseling, addiction counseling, and social work approaches. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems according to clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, treatment planning, and coordination of care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Requirements Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; licensure or certification as required by state law (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT). Proven experience working with Horses for Equine Therapy experience with inpatient or hospital environments is a plus. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, diagnosis using ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and treatment planning methodologies. Proficiency in clinical documentation standards and medical terminology; experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred. Skills in crisis intervention, trauma-focused therapy, behavior management, and addiction counseling. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and HIPAA compliance requirements. Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD, or gender issues counseling needs. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
