9684960-65084 Job Description Make a positive impact as a Mental Health Specialist supporting students in a therapeutic classroom environment for grades K-8. This contract opportunity offers both full-time and part-time flexibility, whether youre available certain days a week or prefer consistent half-day schedules. As a valued member of the school team, youll address the needs of approximately 7 elementary and 7 middle school students, all requiring intensive behavior interventions and therapeutic support.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Licensed or certified as a Counselor, Social Worker, or Psychologist, with relevant credentials active and in good standing Demonstrated experience in mental health therapy, crisis intervention, and working with children/youth with significant behavioral and emotional needs Skilled in developing, implementing, and tracking individualized intervention plans Experience collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families in an educational setting Strong communication, documentation, and case management abilities Comfort and confidence handling severe caseloads in a fast-paced therapeutic environment

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling tailored to students with emotional and behavioral challenges Develop, implement, and monitor behavior support plans for each student on your caseload Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to assess student needs and progress, helping craft effective interventions Serve as a resource to instructional staff, sharing strategies for classroom management and student support Maintain detailed records and participate in special education meetings as needed Foster a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where students can thrive academically and emotionally In this impactful role, youll help students access the support they need to succeed in both their learning and personal growth.
