Moonbug Therapy is an innovative, community-driven pediatric therapy practice with 15 years of experience serving children and families in the Midlands of South Carolina. We provide speech-language, feeding, occupational, physical, and now mental health therapy as part of our growing multidisciplinary practice. We are seeking LMSWs and LPCAs to join our team and help us build and grow our pediatric mental health services. By bringing mental health services into our multidisciplinary team, we are creating a more holistic approach to supporting the children and families we serve. What You'll Do As a Mental Health Counselor/Therapist at Moonbug Therapy, you will: Provide individual and family mental health services to children and adolescents. Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment goals in collaboration with clients, caregivers, and other members of the care team. Implement developmentally appropriate and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Use creativity and flexibility to engage younger clients and children with a variety of developmental and special needs. Provide services in settings that best support the child and family, including homes, schools, daycares, and virtually. Build trusting relationships with children, parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals. Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, PTs, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Provide caregiver education and practical strategies to support progress outside of therapy sessions. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate. Complete timely and accurate documentation using an electronic health record system. Maintain an organized schedule and manage caseload responsibilities effectively. Maintain high professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree from an accredited Social Work, Counseling, or related program. Current South Carolina LMSW or LPCA license , or eligibility and active pursuit of the appropriate provisional license. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Reliable transportation for community-based services, when applicable.
Preferred:
Experience working with children through previous employment, fieldwork, internship, or clinical practice. Experience working with children with developmental or special needs. Experience providing therapy in schools, homes, daycares, or other community settings. Interest in pediatric mental health and family-centered care. Why Join Moonbug Therapy?
