Spruce Mountain Inn is seeking a Full-Time Residential Counselor to join our team supporting young adults in residential treatment and transitional living. Residential Counselors are an important part of everyday life at Spruce. They build relationships with residents, help create a safe and supportive community, encourage healthy routines and independence, facilitate activities, and support young adults as they put the skills they are learning in treatment into practice.   • this can be an exceptional place to learn and grow. What You'll Do As a Residential Counselor, you'll spend your shifts actively engaged with residents and the Spruce community. Some responsibilities are consistent from shift to shift
  • like encouraging healthy routines, overseeing the self-administration of medications, and completing required documentation and shift responsibilities.
No two shifts look exactly alike. You might spend part of your day getting creative with residents in the art room, taking a group into the community or out into nature, helping someone work toward an independent living goal, or simply being the steady person available when someone needs support. Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Are dependable, patient, and able to maintain healthy professional boundaries Can balance empathy with clear expectations and accountability Can remain calm and thoughtful in challenging situations Are willing to learn! Experience in behavioral health is valuable, but we also welcome candidates interested in entering the field A valid driver's license and ability to safely transport residents are required. What We Offer Competitive pay, starting at $20.00/hour; Paid orientation and training; Ongoing professional development; 30 days of paid time off in your first year, increasing to 35 days in your second year and 40 days beginning in your third year (based on 40 hour work week, includes vacation, holidays, personal and sick time); An "a la carte" benefits plan including health, dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), SIMPLE IRA retirement plan, Term life insurance, with the premium shared between Spruce Mountain Inn and the employee after eligibility requirements are met, and Pre-tax medical reimbursement and dependent care programs for eligible employees
