School-Based Therapist Achieve Behavioral Health (ABH) Serving Ohio and Marshall Counties Moundsville, West Virginia Wheeling, West Virginia Position Overview Achieve Behavioral Health is seeking empathetic, self-motivated, and professional clinicians to join our growing school-based therapy team. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, adolescents, and families within local school systems and communities. School-Based Therapists work closely with students, families, school personnel, and community providers to deliver counseling, advocacy, crisis support, and mental health services. This position primarily follows school hours, generally up to eight (8) hours each assigned school day. Time will be split between 2-3 assigned schools in Ohio and Marshall Counties. No evening hours are typically associated with this position, unless mutually agreed upon as needed. Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, this position works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families served. This position works closely with youth, family, and community partners, providing counseling or therapy, advocacy, and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community. ABH has two outpatient offices, providing counseling and mental health services in two counties. Position Highlights Competitive hourly compensation Independent contract position Primarily school-day schedule following school calendars and holidays Summer employment opportunities available under separate optional contracts Highly flexible time-off policies Work anniversary bonus Half-Year bonus End-of-school-year bonus opportunities Credentialing opportunities available Additional outpatient counseling opportunities available with separate compensation/contracts if desired Supportive supervision and team-oriented work environment Responsibilities Provide individual mental health counseling and supportive services to students and families Provide crisis intervention, safety assessments, behavioral stabilization, and support services as needed Coordinate and monitor services for youth and families including educational, medical, psychological, social, and behavioral health supports Establish and maintain strong working relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners Attend meetings and provide written reports and recommendations regarding students served Travel daily between assigned school locations to provide community-based services on behalf of youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, including active licensure and liability insurance Complete required trainings and supervision participation in a timely manner Review and modify treatment plans to ensure progress toward goals Consistently demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, teamwork, and responsiveness within assigned schools and agency operations Participate actively in weekly supervision and team collaboration Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution Current valid WV licensure preferred. Can work with temporary license with eligible applicants Business Licenses, Permits, and Certificates Comply with all federal, state, and local laws requiring drivers and other licenses, business permits, and certificates required to carry out the services Experience working directly with youth and families strongly preferred Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative and team-oriented Ability to maintain professionalism and objectivity in all job functions Capacity to remain flexible and responsive to youth served Demonstrate tolerance and respect for the ideas and actions of others Ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Proficiency with computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, and common software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs Current professional liability insurance meeting required coverage levels Driving & Vehicle Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable personal transportation Good driving record Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability Ability to travel between assigned schools and community locations daily Equal Opportunity Employer Achieve Behavioral Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and veteran status.
