Work Environment This position is primarily remote, aligning with the school calendar, offering flexibility in scheduling. You may occasionally be required to attend evening and weekend events, such as parent meetings and school functions, to maintain engagement with the community and provide continuous support to our students. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, drawing insights from interviews and evaluations to understand and identify students' emotional, social, and behavioral needs. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions tailored to each student's needs, utilizing evidence-based methods to address issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment difficulties. Facilitate group therapy on relevant topics such as bullying prevention, stress management, and the development of social skills. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop interventions for behavioral concerns ensuring a cohesive approach across student support systems. Provide crisis intervention skills, performing risk assessments, and planning safety strategies as necessary, to maintain a secure environment for all students. Organize and lead psychoeducation workshops designed for students, parents, and school staff, ensuring best practices in mental health awareness and support. Assist in transition planning for students needing additional support, facilitating connections to community-based resources to promote ongoing mental health and well-being. Patient Population / Client Focus The role focuses on supporting school-aged children and adolescents, who come from diverse backgrounds and may be experiencing a variety of challenges. Our approach is centered on recognizing and valuing individual differences, enhancing our students' social and emotional learning, while promoting resilience and healthy coping strategies. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required. Strong foundational knowledge in child and adolescent development, behavioral interventions, and trauma-informed counseling techniques. Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of conveying empathy and building trust with students, families, and staff. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of experience working as a clinical social worker within educational settings is preferred. Previous experience providing training or psychoeducational workshops is a plus. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this full-time role ranges from
USD 60,000
to 100,000 annually, dependent on experience and educational qualifications.
