Responsibilities Assist in supervising children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Support classroom activities by implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and learning. Ensure child safety through vigilant supervision, adherence to child supervision policies, and compliance with mandated reporting laws. Engage children in play-based learning activities that promote social-emotional growth, creativity, and physical development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports classroom management and child comfort. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support behavior management strategies and individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities. Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care duties as needed. Follow health and safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures to ensure a secure environment for all children. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus. Classroom management skills combined with patience and positive behavior management techniques. Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect. Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs while maintaining a lively and supportive atmosphere. Previous experience in toddler care or infant care is advantageous but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
