Job Overview Part-time position We are seeking dedicated Child Care Staff who can engage in continuous teaching without the need for direct supervision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing daily lesson plans that encourage children to explore through hands-on activities, including messy play and outdoor experiences, regardless of the weather. This role also involves reading to children to enhance their vocabulary and creating interactive games that promote ongoing learning. Additionally, the staff member will assist with nap times, snacks, lunches, and daily cleaning tasks, addressing any other needs that arise. The right individual will have a genuine passion for working with children, guiding them through routines, and supporting their behavioral development. Duties Assist with supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, naps, and outings to ensure safety and engagement. Support the implementation of age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning. Help maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment by tidying up toys, supplies, and play areas regularly. Follow established safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary to ensure children's health and safety. Support classroom management strategies under the guidance of lead caregivers to foster positive behavior and social skills. Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic infant care tasks while adhering to health regulations and mandated reporting laws when required. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the caregiving environment. Ability to manage classroom activities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies for young children.
