Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and caring Part-Time / Occasional Nanny to provide childcare in our home when the parent travels for work. This is an as-needed position based on the parent's work and travel schedule. Dates and anticipated times will be discussed and provided in advance so that the caregiver can confirm availability before each assignment. Assignments may require the caregiver to remain in the home overnight and continue caring for the children until the parent returns from travel. For example, an assignment could begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. one evening and end the following evening , depending on available flights and the parent's return time. The children are easygoing, independent for their ages, and have established routines. They are accustomed to cleaning up after themselves. The primary responsibility is to be present in the home, supervise the children, and ensure they are safe and cared for while the parent is away . Meals will generally be prepared in advance. There is no general housekeeping or laundry required, other than minor tidying related to the children as needed. We are looking for someone dependable who would like to develop a long-term relationship with our family and become our regular caregiver when work travel arises. Responsibilities Provide responsible and attentive supervision of the children while the parent is traveling Remain in the family home for the duration of the agreed assignment, including overnight when required Maintain a safe and comfortable environment Assist with normal bedtime and morning routines Serve meals and snacks that have been prepared in advance Encourage the children to clean up after themselves Perform minor child-related tidying as needed Respond appropriately in the event of an emergency Communicate with the parent as needed while the parent is traveling Requirements Prior babysitting, nanny, or childcare experience Reliable, responsible, and punctual Comfortable supervising multiple children Comfortable staying overnight in the family home when needed Able to follow established household and childcare routines Reliable transportation to and from the home Willing to undergo a background check CPR and First Aid certification preferred References preferred Schedule Occasional / As Needed There is no fixed weekly or monthly schedule. Assignments will depend on the parent's work and travel obligations. Dates and anticipated start and end times will be discussed and provided in advance , and the caregiver's availability will be confirmed before each assignment. Because assignments are based on travel, the caregiver may be needed from the evening before a trip through the parent's return the following day. Return times may vary depending on available flights. Compensation $150 per assignment , with the final compensation discussed and agreed upon in advance based on the anticipated length of the assignment. Meals for the children will generally be prepared in advance. No general housekeeping, laundry, or household management is required beyond light tidying related to the children .
