Part-time, Full-time Position Summary:

The Daycare Floater provides support across all classrooms, assisting teachers and caregivers in creating a nurturing, Christ-centered environment for children. This role helps maintain daily routines, ensures the safety of all children, and promotes spiritual, emotional, social, and educational development through a biblical worldview.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide coverage and assistance in various classrooms (infant to pre-K), as needed. Support lead teachers with daily activities, including circle time, crafts, meals, and outdoor play. Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment. Assist with diapering, toileting, and basic hygiene in accordance with licensing guidelines. Foster a loving, respectful, and Christ-centered atmosphere for children, staff, and families. Build relationships with children and model Christian values in speech, behavior, and attitude. Help with transitions between activities and ensure children are supervised at all times. Communicate effectively with staff, children, and parents in a professional and positive manner. Participate in staff meetings, prayer times, and training sessions as required. Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies, including child safety protocols. Step into long-term or short-term classroom support roles as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience in childcare or early childhood education preferred. Flexibility to work with different age groups and adapt to various classroom environments. A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ; able to support and promote Christian values. Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and remain calm in a busy setting. Must pass background checks and meet all state childcare licensing requirements. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 40 pounds. Able to sit, stand, bend, and move freely throughout the day. Active participation in play and outdoor activities with children. Statement of Faith (Optional section): As a staff member at Little Believers Childcare Center, you are expected to uphold and model our Christian beliefs. A signed statement of faith may be required upon employment.
