Overview Join our dedicated team as a Child Care Aide and become a vital part of nurturing young minds and supporting their developmental journey. In this energetic role, you will assist lead teachers and childcare professionals in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children of various ages. Responsibilities Supervise children during daily activities, playtime, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement. Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and early learning skills. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong home-school connections. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior management strategies and behavior reinforcement techniques. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns promptly according to legal requirements. Assist with basic first aid or pediatric first aid procedures when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all children. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) to respond effectively in emergencies. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and team members while demonstrating patience and empathy. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention and intervention. A genuine passion for nurturing young children's growth through engaging activities, supervision, and positive reinforcement.
