Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns promptly according to legal requirements. Assist with basic first aid or pediatric first aid procedures when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all children. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) to respond effectively in emergencies. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and team members while demonstrating patience and empathy. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention and intervention.
