Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Child Care Director to lead and manage our vibrant early childhood education center. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare services, and foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Develop, implement, and monitor age-appropriate curriculum plans that support childhood development and learning. Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, child supervision, behavior management, and early childhood education best practices. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR certification, and daycare licensing requirements. Foster strong communication channels with parents through regular updates, meetings, and responsive support to address concerns or questions. Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development in areas such as special education, working with children with disabilities, toddler care, infant care, and classroom experience. Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment that promotes childhood development through engaging activities and appropriate caregiving practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Demonstrated classroom management skills along with experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers or nannying/babysitting roles. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, behavior management strategies, and caregiving techniques. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification is highly preferred. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff members and engage with parents. Experience in supervising staff or leading a team within a childcare or educational environment is highly desirable.
