Woolwich Township, NJ family is looking for an experienced, dependable nanny for their toddler and newborn. This is a long-term position for someone who has flexibility during the week. SCHEDULE 20
hours per week Weekdays only, with a varying schedule Shifts may begin as early as 7:00 AM or end as late as 8:00 PM. The family provides approximately 5 weeks of advance notice for the schedule. They are looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable with a changing weekday schedule rather than someone who needs the same days and hours every week.

THE CHILDREN
The family has a 2-year-old daughter and a newborn son. Their toddler can be shy when meeting someone new, but once she warms up she is lively, energetic, and loves being active both inside and outside. She is beginning to use short sentences, and her parents are working with her on communication, shapes, colors, and counting. She has also recently started potty training. She typically naps for about 2 hours beginning sometime between 12:00 and 1:00 PM. She does not have any known allergies, although she does have sensitive skin and her parents will provide guidance on anything that should be avoided. Their newborn is formula fed and currently takes approximately 5 oz every 2 to 3 hours. The family follows safe sleep practices and is looking for someone who is comfortable with normal newborn care including bottles, diapering, soothing, and naps.•
RESPONSIBILITIES
The nanny will primarily focus on caring for the children and keeping their days safe, active, and engaging.
Responsibilities include:
Caring for both a toddler and newborn Bottles, feeding, diapering, and soothing Age-appropriate play and activities Reading, talking, and helping support the toddler's learning Helping with potty training routines Occasionally preparing simple food for the children Cleaning up after the children's meals Taking the children outside or to nearby parks when appropriate
- DRIVING The family prefers a nanny who has a reliable vehicle and is comfortable using it for occasional outings such as trips to a local park.
PARENTS AT HOME
There will occasionally be times when Mom or Dad is home while the nanny is working. They may be handling household projects or errands, and Dad may occasionally be sleeping during the day after working a night shift. The nanny should be comfortable independently caring for the children even when a parent is in the home.- PETS The family has two larger dogs. Both are friendly with the children and generally spend most of the day relaxing, although they can also be playful and energetic. Applicants should be comfortable working in a home with large dogs.
