WORSHIP DIRECTOR/MINISTER

Centennial Baptist Church- Rutledge, GA is seeking a part-time Worship Leader to provide consistent spiritual worship for our church. We seek a worship leader with a shepherd's heart, focusing on genuine worship engagement to cultivate a warm, welcoming environment that blends traditional and contemporary worship music. We seek an energetic, Christ-centered, mature Christian to guide our spiritual growth through worship. At Centennial Baptist Church, we seek a culture of worship that fosters congregational singing, intergenerational worship, and sound theology, while preparing our hearts to receive God's Word.

DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Pastor and Church Leadership, the Worship Leader shall be responsible for leading the Church in our weekly worship services. The general duties shall include, but not be limited to, the process of scheduling, rehearsing, planning, and coordinating all worship services, including audio visual ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ with a humble and teachable spirit. 2. Be knowledgeable of basic Baptist doctrine and agree with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. 3. Ability to work effectively with church staff, worship team, audio visual team, and church members. 4. Possess strong leadership and communication skills. 5. Experienced with church ministries, particularly music ministries. 6. Familiarity with sound equipment and audio visual systems, with the ability to effectively operate and troubleshoot basic AV equipment. 7. Demonstrates a consistent lifestyle of Christlikeness, reflected in personal character, spiritual maturity, integrity, relationships, and conduct both within and outside the church.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead vocally and instrumentally during Sunday morning worship. 2. Conduct weekly rehearsals to prepare the worship and AV team and ensure musical quality. 3. Select music and coordinate the order of service in conjunction with the Lead Pastor. 4. Prepare sermon and worship lyrics in Pro Presenter prior to Sunday morning services. 5. Recruit, train, and encourage volunteer musicians, vocalists, and AV team. 6. Work in conjunction with the Finance team to develop an annual budget. 7. Prioritize maintenance and needs for AV equipment. Specific hours, compensation, and additional expectations will be determined in the interview process and outlined in the official job offer.
