CrossPoint Church is a Southern Baptist, multisite church family with its broadcast campus located in Hutchinson, Kansas. What began as a single church plant in 1970 has grown into one church meeting in many locations, now spanning fourteen campuses across the state. The church became multisite in 2009 and has steadily built more centralized systems and structure while still preserving a healthy degree of campus level autonomy. The church is led by four Lead Pastors who function together as elders. The Hutchinson campus is the broadcast campus and the largest and most influential location in the CrossPoint family, currently seeing around 2,000 in weekly attendance across three weekend services on Saturday at 5:00p and Sunday at 9:00a and 11:00a. The Location Pastor Shaun Jones, who brings 25 years of worship and executive ministry experience, has led the campus for the last year and a half and is leading Hutchinson into a renewed season of influence, health, and clarity. CrossPoint is a young to middle aged church with a strong concentration of 18 to 50 year olds and a clear heart to reach the next generation. The church values modern worship, biblical and expository teaching, authentic relationships through Grow Groups, and a big picture, one church mentality across all of its campuses. While the role is based at Hutchinson, the next Worship Pastor will be a part of CrossPoint Worship as a whole and will carry as much influence across the broader worship ecosystem. The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Worship Pastor to oversee their worship ministry at the Hutchison campus. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church's overall mission and vision. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Weekend Worship Work in conjunction with the Location Pastor on the oversight of all weekend main room worship activities, authentically leading the congregation across all weekend services in a way that honors God and prioritizes congregational worship over performance. Work with the Production Director and LocationPastor on the planning of weekend services, owning song selection, setlists, Planning Center coordination, and the weekly build in alignment with the teaching calendar and the church's Gospel Arc model. Provide strong vocal and musical leadership on the platform, directing a capable volunteer band, coaching the vocal team on parts, blend, and harmonies, and shaping transitions and dynamics that serve the flow of each service. The Team Provide leadership and training for the worship team in order to develop other leaders, building intentional pipelines that raise up future worship leaders for Hutchinson and the broader CrossPoint family. Recruit and onboard new worship team members, establishing a clear on-ramp from application through audition, interview, and shadowing. Shepherd the worship and production teams as a pastor first, providing discipleship, encouragement, prayer, and pastoral care that prioritizes the person over the performance. Work in conjunction with the College Director and Student Pastor for worship in those areas, helping build a next gen worship pipeline across the church. Production and Environments Oversee the stage and sets, providing a creative and intentional eye for the visual elements of the worship experience. Provide directional oversight and long term planning for the technical aspects of worship, including sound, lighting, and media, partnering closely with the full time Production Director to advocate for needed AVL upgrades and a proactive maintenance roadmap. Bring simplicity and consistency to production workflows so that technology consistently serves the worship environment rather than distracting from it. Support the Broader Ministry Assist the Hutchinson staff with weekend duties and contribute to the overall life and mission of the campus beyond the worship ministry. Manage the worship ministry budget and oversee scheduling, communication, and service preparation with consistency and clarity. Assist with other projects as assigned by the Location Pastor, and be available for miscellaneous special events, church meetings, and similar gatherings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Fulfill the duties required of CrossPoint Partners (members at CrossPoint). If hired as a pastor, must fulfill the character requirements of an elder as taught in Scripture. A proven leader as demonstrated by past experience building teams, managing people, and creating systems. Ability to anticipate, enjoy, and thrive in a rapidly changing environment. Detail oriented and organized, a self starter disciplined to work in an unsupervised environment, and adaptable to changes in roles and responsibilities. Relational and personable, a humble and teachable team player with a sense of humor. Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers and other leaders. Demonstrated ability to sing and to use that ability to lead others to worship Christ, along with the ability to speak, exhort, and pray during and in between songs. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, the Apple Suite, and the Google platform, Planning Center Online, Logic or Ableton, and MainStage, Pro Tools, or Adobe Premiere. Education Not required. A teachable posture is valued over formal credentials. Experience Five or more years of full time worship leading experience, with a high ceiling and growth trajectory weighted heavily.
