Job Description

The Blackford-Breckenridge Baptist Association (BBBA) is eagerly searching for our next Director of Missions (DOM). A degree from a seminary or bible college that aligns with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 is strongly preferred. The search committee will carefully assess the DOM's theological convictions through the interview process. 2.
Maturity:
He should meet the biblical pastoral qualifications given in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. He must be capable of making mature judgments, providing energetic support and maintaining a healthy Christian relationship with all the churches and pastors. 3.
Experience:
He should have sufficient pastoral and/or church staff experience to be able to relate to the unique needs of pastors and be capable of giving wise counsel to pastors and churches when needed. Ten years of pastoral experience is preferred. 4.
Theological:
He must be theologically sound and hold to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. 5.

He must have a genuine love for and understanding of rural, bi-vocational ministry. Responsibilities 1.
Build Relationships:
The DOM will work to foster beneficial relationships among pastors and churches. Regular contact with each church and/or pastor is expected, with a minimum of one personal visit to each church and/or pastor each year. The DOM will encourage these relationships by facilitating opportunities for training, worship, fellowship and missions. 2.
Support and Encourage Pastors:
Within the context of these relationships, the DOM will help encourage local church pastors by spending time with them, praying with them, providing counsel, resources and training, and strengthening them with Biblical truth. 3. Foster Cooperative Effort in
