Position Overview Bethel Church is seeking a musically gifted and spiritually committed Christian college student to serve as our Part-Time Worship Leader . This position is intentionally designed to work well with a full-time college schedule and provides an excellent opportunity for a student interested in worship ministry, music, or church leadership to gain meaningful hands-on ministry experience. The Worship Leader will lead our congregation in contemporary Christian worship on Sunday mornings, provide leadership to our volunteer worship team, and work closely with the Lead Pastor in planning weekly worship services. Primary Responsibilities Lead the congregation in contemporary worship on Sunday mornings. Select songs and prepare the weekly worship set in coordination with the Lead Pastor. Lead vocally while playing either guitar or keyboard. Lead and encourage a volunteer worship band. Schedule musicians and vocalists for weekly services. Communicate songs, music, and other necessary information to team members in advance. Lead a weekly band rehearsal in preparation for Sunday worship. Coordinate with the Lead Pastor regarding sermon themes, special services, and other worship needs. Help create a worship environment that is Christ-centered, engaging, and appropriate for a multi-generational congregation. Regularly attend Bethel Church and participate in the life of the church, including Sundays when not scheduled to lead worship. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Demonstrates a genuine and growing commitment to Jesus Christ. Has a history of involvement in a local Christian church. Is comfortable leading others in Christian worship. Has strong vocal ability and can lead while playing either guitar or keyboard. Is able to work effectively with musicians of varying experience levels. Is dependable, organized, teachable, and able to communicate well with volunteers and church leadership. Supports the beliefs, values, and ministry direction of Bethel Church. Must be within easy driving distance of Mankato, MN Previous worship-leading experience is helpful but not required . We are willing to work with and develop the right student who demonstrates musical ability, spiritual maturity, and a desire to serve. Schedule & Compensation This is a flexible part-time position designed to be manageable alongside a full-time college schedule. The primary commitments are a weekly rehearsal and Sunday morning worship services, along with a limited amount of preparation and communication during the week. Compensation is $200-$300 per week, depending on experience and ability.
