Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bi-Vocational Pastor to serve as a spiritual leader and community advocate within our faith-based organization. This vital role combines pastoral responsibilities with professional engagement outside of ministry, offering a dynamic opportunity to impact lives through spiritual guidance, teaching, and community outreach. The ideal candidate will bring energy, compassion, and strong leadership skills to foster a nurturing environment for diverse congregations and community members. This paid position provides a unique chance to balance vocational work with meaningful ministry, empowering individuals and families through biblical teaching and pastoral care. Responsibilities Deliver engaging sermons, religious teachings, and Bible studies that resonate with diverse audiences. Provide pastoral counseling, including bereavement support and terminal illness guidance, to individuals and families facing life challenges. Lead spiritual programs, prayer groups, and community outreach initiatives that promote faith development and social connection. Offer crisis intervention and conflict management support during emergencies or personal crises within the congregation or community. Collaborate with church leadership on event planning, religious education curriculum development, and community service projects. Work closely with families to provide spiritual guidance during significant life events such as births, marriages, and funerals. Engage in ongoing professional development in areas such as biblical theology, religious studies, hospice care, Christian counseling, and pastoral theology. Skills Proven experience in teaching religious studies, biblical theology, or related fields with strong presentation skills. Exceptional communication skills capable of inspiring diverse audiences through public speaking and personal interaction. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and foster inclusive environments. Skilled in crisis management, conflict resolution, and terminal illness counseling with compassionate sensitivity. Strong leadership qualities with experience mentoring others within faith-based or nonprofit organizations. Excellent writing skills for sermon preparation, reports, and educational materials. Knowledge of nonprofit faith-based organization operations combined with hands-on experience in hospice care or bereavement support is highly desirable. From $14,300.00 per year
