This vital role involves developing engaging youth programs, providing spiritual guidance, and fostering a welcoming environment for young people to grow in faith and community. The Youth Director will collaborate with church leadership, volunteer teams, and families to create meaningful experiences that nurture the spiritual, emotional, and social development of youth members. Duties Plan, coordinate, and implement dynamic youth programs that promote spiritual growth, leadership development, and community engagement Lead youth group meetings, retreats, service projects, and special events with enthusiasm and purpose Provide mentorship and pastoral support to youth members, addressing their spiritual and personal needs with compassion Collaborate with parents, volunteers, and church staff to ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all participants Facilitate religious education sessions, teaching religious studies and fostering understanding of faith principles Manage volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition to build a strong team dedicated to youth ministry Engage in outreach efforts within the community to attract new youth participants and promote the organization's mission Experience Prior experience working with children or youth in a religious or nonprofit setting is highly preferred Demonstrated leadership in youth ministry or similar programs with proven ability to motivate and mentor young people Background in religious teaching, pastoral theology, or Christian counseling enhances effectiveness in this role Experience managing volunteers and coordinating events within faith-based organizations is advantageous Strong communication skills necessary for engaging diverse audiences and fostering community relationships Familiarity with social work principles or mental health support related to youth development is a plus Previous involvement as a clergyperson or in religious leadership roles will support success in this position Join us as a Part Time Youth Director to empower young minds through faith-based initiatives!
