Job Description:

Objective:

To cultivate an environment through oversight in worship which is spiritually rich and engaging. Prioritizing an emphasis on glorifying God and leading the body in worship. Provide the overall spiritual direction and guidance for the musical portion of the weekly worship service.

Responsibilities:

(Approximately 12 Hours Per Week)

• Organize, plan and lead worship music for weekly worship service
• Work with current musicians on the team and recruit new musicians to join the team
• Organize and lead the weekly worship practice in preparation for the weekly Sunday morning service
• Availability and desire to lead quarterly worship nights/special events throughout the calendar year
• Preparation time in song selection and elements of worship in conjunction with the Senior Pastor
• Creating PowerPoint or other media to broadcast song slides during service
• Accountable to the Senior Pastor as a direct report with routine interaction/communication regarding the role and position

Requirements and Skills:

• An active follower of Christ with a vibrant relationship with Him
• Growing in the practice of spiritual disciplines and rhythms of spiritual life (i.e. prayer & interaction with Scripture)
• Willingness and desire to grow a team of skilled musicians to lead worship
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and with electronic media
• Ability to adapt to various demanding situations
• flexibility
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and the ability to navigate technology
• Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals and situations
• Willingness to ask questions and receptive to feedback
• A willingness to be in agreement with the governing documents of the church (i.

e. Church Constitution)

Crossroads is a church committed to making a difference in the lives of those in and near London, Ohio. After the retirement of our founding pastor in 2024, the church called current Senior Pastor, Phil Chapman in 2025 and is in the midst of revitalization with the goal of moving forward to reach our neighbors and the community with the message of the Gospel.
