We will be in touch with you promptly concerning your submission. student ministry assistant Job Description Part-Time / non-exempt / 25 hours per week The role of the Student Ministry Assistant is to assist the Middle School and High School Pastors in all aspects related to the carrying out of the Student Ministry Programming. The Student Ministry Assistant will report directly to the Student Ministries Pastor.
Responsibilities:
weekly:
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Student Ministry Pastors.
  • Manage databases for attendance, volunteer information and registrations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, students and volunteer staff (email, mailings, etc.)
  • Submit and track ministry expenses/reimbursements/requisitions.
  • Track the student ministry budgets.
  • Assist in keeping youth facilities and storage areas neat and organized.
  • Maintain student section of the church website with updated information.
  • Pick-up supplies as needed for weekly youth meetings.
  • Coordinate volunteers as needed for youth meetings.
events:
  • Secure and manage rental contracts.
  • Secure and manage vehicle rentals.
  • Make necessary travel arrangements for staff or outside speakers.
  • Manage registrations, deposits and budget.
  • Organize and coordinate needed volunteer staff.
  • Purchase necessary supplies (food, shirts, etc.)
  • Organize retreat or training materials.
  • Be present at most events/retreats.
Qualifications:
  • Be a born-again believer through faith in Jesus Christ by way of personal profession.
  • Demonstrates a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and models a Biblical pattern of life and leadership while demonstrating a love for God and His people.
  • Shows evidence of control by the Holy Spirit in all aspects of personal life and ministry.
  • Must have a High School Diploma, bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as an administrative assistant is desired but not required.
  • Passion for the spiritual development of students.
  • Willingness to participate in youth events and retreats required.
  • Passionate, confident, open-minded learner is a must.
  • Good collaborator; works well in a team environment.
  • Strong ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an orientation toward detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and processes concurrently.
  • Ability to delegate and lead teams as necessary.
  • High level computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relational abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written forms to all ages (students, parents, etc.
)
