Job Description

Worship Leader (Part-Time)Purpose Lead the congregation in worship during Sunday services and provide leadership for the church's worship ministry in partnership with the Lead Pastor. Spiritual & Personal Expectations The Worship Leader is encouraged to: Pursue a growing relationship with Jesus. Be actively involved in the life of the church. Continue growing spiritually, musically, and as a leader. Lead from personal spiritual health rather than performance. Participate in leadership development opportunities when available. Primary ResponsibilitiesWorship Leadership Lead worship during weekly services and special events. Select biblically faithful songs that align with the church's theology and vision. Foster meaningful congregational worship. Service Planning Work with the Lead Pastor to plan worship services that support the teaching. Incorporate music, Scripture, media, and other creative elements into services. Team Leadership Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage worship and production volunteers. Lead rehearsals with preparation and clarity. Build a healthy, team-oriented ministry culture. Develop future worship and production leaders. Ministry Oversight Oversee worship-related production, including audio, presentation, lighting, and service flow. Maintain worship planning software, scheduling, and team communication. Assist with the worship ministry budget as needed. Church Leadership Provide spiritual encouragement to worship and production teams. Coordinate the communion team with lead pastor. Participate in church-wide ministry initiatives and events as available. Qualifications Growing relationship with Jesus and a heart for the local church. Ability to lead and develop volunteer teams. Strong communication and organizational skills. Solid theological understanding of worship. Adaptable, dependable, and able to remain calm under pressure. Musically gifted with the ability to lead congregational worship vocally.
