Spiritual Formation Minister

Church at the Cross exists to help people and places encounter Jesus. We are a rapidly growing, multi-generational church in the heart of DFW having increasing on average 10% annually with attendance around 1,300 people each Sunday. We highly value formation for mission, having recently planted 3 churches and sent our first missionaries to an unreached people group. With continued growth, the next 10-15 years present an exciting opportunity to pursue formation for mission at a new level and we are looking for a Spiritual Formation Minister with a passion to help us get there. This candidate is a high-capacity leader who will be a key driver in ensuring that all adult spiritual formation ministries are making progress towards formation for mission. The Spiritual Formation Minister provides leadership and vision for discipleship at CATC, fostering a culture of spiritual growth and connection across all ministries, age groups, and demographics. This role focuses on developing clear pathways for spiritual formation, equipping leaders, and supporting the congregation in their journey toward Christlikeness. Experience & Qualifications Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree required Strong relational and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability in pastoral care and spiritual guidance Wisdom, discernment, and emotional maturity Effective teaching and communication abilities Strategic thinking and organizational leadership Experience in team leadership and development Proficiency with relevant technology and ministry tools Responsibilities & Duties Spiritual Formation Collaborate with Elders to develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship pathway for CATC Ensure alignment of spiritual formation initiatives across all ministries, age groups, and demographics Champion a cohesive vision for discipleship throughout the church. Life Groups Provide ongoing training, development, and encouragement for current Life Group Leaders and Coaches Develop and sustain leadership pipelines for future Life Group Leaders and Coaches Cultivate strong, supportive relationships with Life Group Leaders and Coaches Assist guests and new members in connecting to Life Groups and engaging in discipleship Equip members to participate in Discipleship Groups and provide continued support Serve as a liaison between Life Groups and the Care Team, offering guidance, counseling, and support as needed Track engagement metrics to inform strategy and future planning Source, evaluate, and develop curriculum as needed Men's Ministry Plan and lead monthly Men's Breakfast gatherings, including teaching and volunteer coordination Create clear pathways for men to engage more deeply in the life of the church Collaborate with Women's Ministry to coordinate semester-based Bible studies Develop and oversee discipleship and connection opportunities specifically for men Team Lead Provide leadership to the Spiritual Formation Team - currently including Women's, Young Adults, and Connections - to ensure alignment with CATC's vision and strategy Provide leadership, direction, and support for the Spiritual Formation Associate Ensure adherence to policies and procedures outlined in the CATC Handbook Oversee and manage the Spiritual Formation budget
