The Associate Pastor will serve in areas of counseling, administration and member care
QUALIFICATIONS
Meets the biblical qualifications of elder/pastor/overseer Seminary training with Masters of Divinity or MACE. PhD desired but not mandatory. Must be a strong biblical counselor with significant training in biblical counseling Commitment to and with agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 Committed to life-long learning Ability to organize and recruit teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Biblical counseling and trainer of counselors Do the work of a pastor/elder/overseer: Shepherd the flock, counsel, disciple, train, marry, bury, etc Oversee Community Groups ministry, including training teachers and member care. Oversee church assimilation. Assist in church administration. Regularly disciple church members and train them to disciple others. Help build a culture of discipleship and counseling. Mobilize more people to pursue ACBC certification Teach as needed for classes, Wednesday night, etc. Preach as needed. Assist the Lead Pastor as needs arise and available to perform other duties as assigned.
