In this highly visible, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The Chaplain is to provide pastoral care to patients, families and staff .in an assigned parish area and to participate in the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program.
Your Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, Masters of Theology or Equivalent, or in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills
Your Job Responsibilities:
Participates in the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program. Participates in the ministry of the department through sharing on-call duty. Participates in the ministry of the department by providing pastoral care, spiritual support, and emotional support to patients and families through regular rounding, clinical assignments and responding to all hospital codes. Assists in locating and contacting next of kin for patients arriving in ED via ambulance. Participates in the ministry of the department by facilitating, documenting and coordinating decedent care in collaboration with multiple hospital units. Provides grief support and counseling as appropriate to deceased's family and friends. Provide staff support through regular rounding, organized support programs, and debriefings. Participates in other pastoral and administrative duties as assigned under the direction of the clinical manager. Collaborates with local religious leaders, chaplain volunteers, visiting clergy and spiritual caregivers. Other duties as assigned.
