Resident Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistants to provide high-quality care and support to residents in a long-term care or assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, ensure residents' safety, and promote a comfortable and engaging environment. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, fostering independence, dignity, and well-being. Responsibilities Provide personal care and support to residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments Monitor vital signs and observe health changes; report any concerns to medical staff or supervisor Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks Document resident interactions, care provided, and any incidents in accordance with facility policies Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop individualized care plans Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral management techniques Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus Ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with complex health needs Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation is desirable Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required Strong communication skills, compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to assist others This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while working in a supportive team environment dedicated to quality care.

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
