The ARC of the Treasure Coast is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Residential Services to support the Director of Residential Services in overseeing our residential programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This leadership role helps ensure high-quality, person-centered services while supporting residential staff, individuals, families, and community partners. Responsibilities Assist with the oversight of residential programs and supervision of Residential Managers and direct care staff. Support the implementation of Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and monitor individuals' progress toward identified goals. Provide guidance and support to residential staff in delivering person-centered services. Assist with staff training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and addressing performance concerns. Assist with approving residential staff timecards and payroll. Ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing requirements, and regulatory and accreditation standards. Coordinate with healthcare providers, support coordinators, families, and other service providers to meet individual needs. Participate in annual planning, staffing, and other meetings related to individuals and residential services. Assist with program budget management and expense tracking. Address complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Serve as a liaison between the Agency, individuals, families, staff, and community stakeholders. Participate in all-staff meetings, training, conferences, and ARC events as needed. Participate in the Administration on-call rotation. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Previous supervisory experience required. Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of best practices in residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to residential programs. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership, organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, individuals, families, and community partners. Requirements Valid driver's license and clear driving record. Proof of automobile insurance and reliable transportation. Level II background screening. CPR and First Aid certification. Bloodborne Pathogens and Medication Administration training. Safety Care certification and annual renewal. Behavior Assistant Certification and annual renewal. Physical Demands Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods, as well as stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, bend, twist, and push/pull equipment. Must be able to assist with transferring individuals and pushing or pulling wheelchairs or other equipment as needed. Ability to drive and lift at least 50 lbs.
