Impactful Residential Care is a dedicated Maine Section 21 Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) provider committed to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving independence, community inclusion, and meaningful lives. We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Direct Support House Manager to lead the daily operations of a residential home while providing direct support services and supervision to staff. Position Summary The Direct Support House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of a Section 21 residential program, ensuring compliance with Maine DHHS regulations, agency policies, and individual support plans. This role combines direct care responsibilities with leadership duties, including staff supervision, scheduling, documentation oversight, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of residents. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Program Management Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned residential home. Supervise, train, mentor, and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage. Conduct staff meetings and participate in employee evaluations. Foster a positive, person-centered culture within the home. Ensure staffing levels meet state and agency requirements. Direct Support Services Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and transportation. Support individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Person-Centered Plans. Promote community integration, independence, and self-advocacy. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with Maine Section 21 Waiver regulations and Impactful Residential Care policies. Review and maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, medication records, and other required records. Monitor implementation of behavior support plans and safety protocols. Participate in audits, licensing reviews, and quality assurance initiatives. Health & Safety Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment. Coordinate healthcare appointments and communicate with medical providers, guardians, case managers, and other stakeholders. Respond appropriately to emergencies and critical incidents. Ensure medications are administered according to state regulations and agency procedures. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Minimum of one year of supervisory or leadership experience. Valid Maine driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass all required background checks. CPR, First Aid, Behavior Modification and Supports Cert and Medication Administration certification Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare, or a related field. Experience working within Maine Section 21 Waiver Services. Knowledge of Person-Centered Planning and Positive Behavioral Supports. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Commitment to person-centered support and community inclusion. Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
