In this role, you will provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and foster a sense of community that enhances residents' quality of life. Your energy and empathy will help residents feel safe, valued, and engaged every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships while making a positive impact on individuals' lives. Responsibilities Provide personal assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health and safety Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through engaging activities and behavior management techniques Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining cleanliness in residents' living areas to promote hygiene and comfort Conduct regular safety checks, respond promptly to resident calls or emergencies, and coordinate with nursing staff or emergency responders as needed Engage residents in social activities and community events to foster social interaction and emotional well-being Experience Prior experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory support strategies Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities in group home or home & community care settings Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic first aid procedures Proven ability to work compassionately with seniors or individuals requiring assisted living support Knowledge of EMR systems for documentation and reporting purposes is advantageous Valid driver's license for transportation duties is a plus but not required Join us to make a meaningful difference every day!
